I had been looking for alternatives to surgery for a varicose vein as I had a large thick vein in my right leg and was referred by my GP to Mr Tiwari. On my first consultation Mr Tiwari was very reassuring and was confident that I was a candidate for Laser Surgery ,and a short time later this was confirmed by having an Ultra Sound scan. I was very keen to have the laser treatment done by local anaesthetic not by general anaesthetic.

I was very nervous on the day of the procedure but Mr Tiwari reassured me all would be fine and it was. Mr Tiwari 's team were wonderful especially Laura who talked me through the procedure step by step during the operation and took my mind off what was happening. Mr Tiwari had a Ultra Sound scanner in theatre and I could watch if wanted to and it was very interesting. After one hour I was back on the ward and no stitches.

I would recommend Mr Tiwari to anyone who thinking about laser treatment on their varicose veins as his manner & professionalism are first class.

I would encourage anybody who is considering treatment for unsightly and unpleasant vein problems to book an appointment with Mr Tiwari. I made the initial phone-call and my consultation options were discussed directly with Mr Tiwari . A subsequent leg scan and consultation was booked and the relevant treatment followed. Mr Tiwari has a kind and gentle direct manner which immediately puts you at ease both during the consultation and treatment. The actual sclerotherapy treatment wasn't unpleasant or painful at all and there was only a sensation of slight pressure when what appeared to be the finest of needles and injections were used. The treatment was speedily and efficiently done, the pressure stockings and bandages were applied and aftercare was discussed with the option to ring about any concerns I might have. There was very minimal bruising and sensitivity after the treatment and the veins are no longer visible at all.

After looking into treatment for my itchy and unsightly varicose veins I contacted the Priory clinic in Edgbaston. The initial consultancy with Mr Tiwari was free and he then suggested I had a scan to see exactly what needed to be done. The scan showed that I did not need laser treatment but instead. I would need four treatments which included foam and saline being injected into the affected veins. I found that the Priory clinic in Edgbaston, Mr Tiwari and the nurse who assisted to be very polite and I did not suffer much discomfort throughout treatment.

I may need treatment again in a few years and I will not hesitate in contacting the Priory and Mr Tiwari and would be happy to advise others seeking varicose vein treatment to do the same.

I would like to thank you for the very successful laser procedure carried out by yourself to remove the varicose veins in my left and right legs. The veins in both legs were large, prominent, unsightly and ached after any strenuous exercise, such as cycling and walking. The laser procedure carried out on each leg on separate dates, was, on your advice, carried out under General Anaesthetic. I must say, that following the procedures, I experienced only low levels of discomfort and soreness and within three weeks of each procedure I was able to resume cycling and hill walking. I had a large, thick, bulging vein running most of the way down the inner part of my left leg. Mr Tiwari decided that the best course of action was to laser the vein. The advantage of this over the more traditional method of pulling the vein out meant that the recovery time was much quicker. I was driving within a couple of days. Three weeks on from my operation and the leg is now looking very neat. I can play sport uninhibited. I can only speak positively of my experience when dealing with Mr Tiwari. Mr Tiwari is friendly, professional and explains clearly the various options involved. The surgery he performed on me couldn't have gone better and the post op care was fantastic. A week after my operation I was unsure about something and Mr Tiwari was easily contactable to explain. His communication skills are excellent. I have had many operations in my life and this one was the easiest. If you have varicose veins then I can thoroughly recommend Mr Tiwari to sort them out.

I had been suffering with varicose veins in both my legs for a number of years. This led to discomfort and prevented me from doing the sports I enjoyed. Over time this got worse leading to one of the damaged veins bursting when I knocked it. From the first time we met Mr Tiwari was exceptionally reassuring. I was very anxious about vascular surgery having had some work done on my legs 15 years ago which left me in real pain for months during recovery. Mr Tiwari reassured me that treatments had improved and I would see a real improvement and much less uncomfortable post operative process. I had an ablation to the long and short saphenous vein and avulsions to my right leg, followed by left leg sclerotherapy. The operation was straightforward; Mr Tiwari explained everything and made me feel completely at ease. The recovery was straightforward and speedy - so much so I did not even need to take pain killers! Mr Tiwari went out of his way to reassure me, and his post operative care was excellent. I can highly recommend Mr Tiwari for his surgical skills and also his kindness and patient care.
